How do I make a booking?
First you need to select a preferred EXPERIENCE, BOAT, RENTAL DATE and add any ONBOARD SERVICES.
Once this is done you send us a booking request which is a summary of your details. When we have confirmed availability, we will send you a link to pay online.
Your booking is secure as soon as you make payment and you will receive a booking confirmation via email.
Where does the boat depart from? How do we get there?
It depends on which boat you choose but all departures are from one of a few marinas within a 10 minute taxi ride from the central Old City. One car should cost no more than $15,000 COP (around $5 USD) and your hotel will organize a comfortable car for you.
When you return you can go back to the same marina or be dropped off right in the center beside the Old City. From here it is a short walk to most central locations or it is very easy to get a taxi.
Do the crew speak English?
All our crews only speak Spanish and very little English. If your Spanish is lacking then no need to worry, we plan the trip extremely well with both you and the crew to ensure you get exactly what you want from the islands. We provide maps and discuss each stop with you before you depart the marina… from there you can sit back and relax!
If, however, you really wanted an English speaker onboard then a guide can be provided for $300,000 COP.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If there is a considerable amount of rain and very wavey conditions then we can reschedule to the next day without charge. We cannot however reschedule if it is cloudy! You should not worry as we have very good island-hopping weather here in Cartagena and have barely ever had to reschedule. Whatever you do, do not trust the weather forecast; it regularly states thunderstorms but in reality it is clear blue skies and excellent flat conditions (which is very frustrating for us with customer’s concerns!)
Can we bring drinks and snacks? Do we stop for lunch?
You will make a lunch stop but it is always good to have some cold drinks and snacks onboard. There will be plenty of complimentary ice and bottled water and you can bring anything you like on board. We can however arrange a wide variety of drinks and snacks to be ready to take any stress out your day. See our ONBOARD SERVICES page for more information.
